Are you Salty or are you Sharing

I recently stumbled upon this Video and it made me think. Am I the Dead Sea or am I the Sea of Galilee. Go look for yourself, who are you?
This is a very powerful thought. As teachers we are fed by the same river Jordan (CAPS). Do we keep to ourselves and give to the learners only those that is fed to us or do we give them more? Are we creative, passionate and are we in the habit of sharing. Let’s share what we have and give it to those that will run our country one day. Share and stop being salty!

Conversation Between Teachers about CAT

I don’t know if I should be worried or not. I had a conversation with another teacher on Facebook about CAT in our schools and his conversation really raised my blood pressure as well as my direction about my research field for Masters or even Honours.

I will add our conversation but unfortunately most of the conversation will be in Afrikaans. I would like all of you to please comment. I will be leaving his name blank for the sake of confidentiality.

My question is if teachers sit with this attitude what will the learners perception of CAT be when he or she have to choose subjects at the end of grade 9?

What a Privilege

Yesterday, 10 June 2016, I met with my mentor teachers for my next Teaching Practice. My goodness what a pleasant surprise. Been many years since I met such wonderful people under one roof. I got all my timetables, subject tables and textbooks. So now I can use the holiday to my advantage to prepare my lesson plans.

How important is ICT Skills

How to give back when you think you have nothing to offer. Living life as I life it, is not always easy, but how can I thank those who help me through the rough days. They know who they are, now words can express my gratitude. Why am I saying this, well communication is key. Communication across the world is taking place every second of the day. (Please go to my ThinkLink  and check it out.)
