Conversation Between Teachers about CAT

I don’t know if I should be worried or not. I had a conversation with another teacher on Facebook about CAT in our schools and his conversation really raised my blood pressure as well as my direction about my research field for Masters or even Honours. 

I will add our conversation but unfortunately most of the conversation will be in Afrikaans. I would like all of you to please comment. I will be leaving his name blank for the sake of confidentiality. 

My question is if teachers sit with this attitude what will the learners perception of CAT be when he or she have to choose subjects at the end of grade 9?

Week 2: Teaching Practice

I'm going to die! I'm not made for this. I cannot do this. How could I be so stupid! This was my mind set after my first lesson with the grade 10 Business class. Bubbling too much, bored learners and lots of nerves, that was my first lesson. I did not keep track of time and it bit me in the butt!

Week 1: As a Student Teacher

Driving to the town where I’m going to do my teaching practice, I became very emotional. Thinking of the journey ahead for the next 4 weeks. I, myself, was a scholar at this school 20 years ago and I also stayed in the boarding school. So I will be reliving my happy childhood.
