First Year Student Guide

This was also a topic that was discussed at a meeting earlier today 19 August 2016. See my previous Blog:

"Teaching the student, rather than just teaching the content"

Well here (underneath) is the link to the complete guide for first year students. This is to assist you in your decision to go and study after school.

Please make use of this and also give it to someone who might consider to study future in the future.

What a Privilege

Yesterday, 10 June 2016, I met with my mentor teachers for my next Teaching Practice. My goodness what a pleasant surprise. Been many years since I met such wonderful people under one roof. I got all my timetables, subject tables and textbooks. So now I can use the holiday to my advantage to prepare my lesson plans.

Week 2: Teaching Practice

I'm going to die! I'm not made for this. I cannot do this. How could I be so stupid! This was my mind set after my first lesson with the grade 10 Business class. Bubbling too much, bored learners and lots of nerves, that was my first lesson. I did not keep track of time and it bit me in the butt!

Week 1: As a Student Teacher

Driving to the town where I’m going to do my teaching practice, I became very emotional. Thinking of the journey ahead for the next 4 weeks. I, myself, was a scholar at this school 20 years ago and I also stayed in the boarding school. So I will be reliving my happy childhood.
